At Union League Boys & Girls Clubs, we believe in giving our youth the tools to build a healthy life, from the meals they eat, to the activities they partake in, to the habits they form. At Union League Boys & Girls Clubs, we’re building healthy futures.
Healthy Lifestyles
For many of our members, where they’re going to get their next meal is unknown. At Union League Boys & Girls Clubs, we’re proud to partner with Greater Chicago Food Depository so that each of our youth have a nutritious meal and snack each day.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, we also partnered with Blessings in a Backpack to ensure our youth and families received meals while our Clubs were closed and uncertainty was at an all-time high. Thank you to our meal partners for keeping our community healthy and fed.
A partnership among the NBA, RISE, and Under Armour, Building Bridges Through Basketball is an award-winning, 10-week community leadership program that uses basketball to unite youth and law-enforcement in cities across the country. This program is designed to break barriers, build trust, and create pathways for positive communication. Weekly sessions combine basketball training with a leadership and cultural competency curriculum focused on identity, diversity, empathy, conflict resolution, and other significant themes.
An incubator for artistic energy, the Ruth Page Center for the Arts works with our young members passionate about the art of dance and develops them into well-rounded dance artists through high-quality training.
